Phase Two

Cradle-to-Career Partnership

Cradle-to-Career Partnership

Each year, we work with a select group of high-potential schools and trusts to bring their own ‘cradle to career’ visions to fruition.

Together, we build the organisational capacity and capability required to design, develop and deliver integrated pipelines of ‘cradle to career’ support—grounded in great schools—by exploring up to three ‘threads’ that tend towards coherence:

  • Learn to listen to the community; create a theory of change; build partnerships; and, take action to strengthen ‘cradle to career’ support beyond the school gates.

  • Develop a model of excellence for school-family relationships; create a theory of change; take action to build long-lasting, trusting relationships with families.

  • Identify priority subject area/s; deep-dive into your current curriculum and how it is enacted; take action to move towards coherence.

In each ‘thread’, leaders benefit from:

  • 4 x full-day, in-person, conferences to develop relationships and enhance knowledge exchange and collaboration among thread leaders.

Our conferences offer opportunities for learning about the latest research and emergent practices from around the world, while also providing a platform for Partners to present and discuss their work.

  • 4 x webinars for thread leaders to embed shared knowledge and understanding and to explore emerging challenges and opportunities with expert practitioners.

  • 4 x coaching calls with specialists to provide ongoing support and guidance.

Our specialists are on hand to offer personalised advice, strategic planning, and problem-solving tailored to the unique challenges of facing our Partners.

  • Over the past five years, we have refined a series of clearly defined action steps, tasks and bespoke activities to shape Partners’ paths towards their respective goals.

We coach Partners through a range of asset-mapping exercises, listening campaigns, relationship audits and curriculum assessments to systematically identify opportunities to build and refine the infrastructure needed to support children and their families throughout their educational journey.

  • Similarly, over the last five years, we have developed an extensive resource library to support thread leaders in developing their own ‘cradle to career’ offer.

These resources streamline the planning process, provide practical guidance for implementation, and empower leaders to create effective and sustainable support systems for students from early childhood through adulthood.

  • Thread leaders join national communities of practice committed to developing breakthrough models of support to better support the children and families underserved by our prevailing systems.

These networks provide invaluable support to thread leaders by facilitating collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective problem-solving.

They can also serve as platforms for advocacy, promoting awareness of effective strategies and influencing policy at regional and national levels.

Phase Two of our Cradle-to-Career Partnership will commence in June 2025, and carry a fee of £1,000 per thread.

Partners are encouraged to identify a ‘lead’ for each chosen thread—and to build small, multidisciplinary working groups to carry the work forward within their respective organisations.
